Service Description

Lulu Yoder will teach the basic use of our rug looms. Students will learn how to plan and prepare fabric for a rug and how to weave on the rug looms. They will learn the different choices of weft material and how to prepare them for weaving. We will go over the parts of the looms and how to use them. We will go over how the collective warp system works and the steps and etiquette of using our looms. Class materials: All materials for the rugs is available for no cost at the studio, or students can provide their own fabric. The warp material in the finished rugs is 40 cents per inch. If you have weft material that you want to use feel free to bring it. There will be 3 sessions in the BFAG Guild Studio.
