About Our Guild

The Bisbee Fiber Arts Guild is located in the basement of the historic Bisbee Community Y building at 26 Howell Avenue in Bisbee, Arizona.  Our town, one of the most unique in the Southwest, is home to an eclectic blend of fiber artists with many and varied interests.

Studio space is devoted mainly to loom weaving, but also contains a kitchen for dyeing fiber, work tables and sewing machines for finishing techniques on rugs -  and in 2008 the Bisbee Fiber Shop opened.  Members of the guild sell their fiber art through the shop and it serves as a showcase of local talent for the many visitors who tour Bisbee. Click here to go directly to the Bisbee Fiber Shop page.

Collective Rug Warp:

The Collective Rug Warp project has several looms at the Guild studio, already warped and available for guild members to make rugs using their own weft materials.  A fee is charged per inch of warp used and goes into a fund to provide warp for more looms.  A discount per inch is given for members who will be selling their rugs through the Bisbee Fiber Shop.  The warps are in a variety of colors and are a great way to quickly create your own handwoven rug!

Rug weavers also have the opportunity to learn sectional warping techniques and how to tie onto an existing warp by working on the looms used for the Collective Warp.
